Takoma Park Mayor Signs VegWeek 2011 Proclamation!

On Monday, April 11, 2011, Takoma Park Mayor Bruce Williams signed a Proclamation officially recognizing April 18-24 as VegWeek 2011. The Proclamation encourages "residents to participate by choosing vegetarian foods as way to help protect the planet, their health, and animals and to explore the wide variety of vegetarian cuisine offered" in the city, but also expresses appreciation to Compassion Over Killing for organizing and promoting this week-long celebration.
